It's coming along nicely! The subfloor and decking is complete.

It is day five of building the Lafayette. The subfloor is in, complete with a full front porch and right elevation porch decking, as you will see from the photos below. The log stack will begin tomorrow. All has gone very well and real progress will begin once the log stack is underway. Please keep checking back on a regular basis to track the progress.

If you wish to see what the finished product looks like then we invite all to come by and see our beautiful model home in Piedmont (Off I-85 at Exit 40) and speak with one of our professional sales consultants about how we can assist in making your log home dreams come true. Please feel free to call us toll free at 1-800-650-3555 for more information.

It is day three of the construction of the Lafayette and the crawlspace foundation is complete. The subfloor construction will be underway tomorrow.

The homeowner has added a full front and expanded right side porch to the home. You will soon see this take shape.

The homeowner is delighted with the progress and loves taking a look at the development on a daily basis. He recently retired and is looking forward to enjoying his retirement in the log home
he has always dreamed of!

Getting Started

The Greenville office of Southland Log Homes is proud to announce "Log Home Dream Comes to Life in Greenville." A new blog detailing a log home construction project that is located just 5 minutes away from the Greenville, South Carolina model home.

The Lafayette, one of Southland Log Homes 30 standard homes, is a three bedroom, two bath log home that has a full front porch. The foundation work has begun and the sub floor system will be installed later this week.

Pictures of the foundation show the beginning of construction.

This blog will frequently detail the progress and will be accompanied by pictures illustrating the progress.

All of us here at the Greenville model are excited about having this construction blog, to share the excitement a Southland Log Home homeowner goes through during their project. Look for much more to come!
